Our Aim
The aim of the Parents' Association is to raise additional funds for the benefit of our childrens' education. The school's budget isn't able to cover the 'extras' so it is our privilege and pleasure to help.
The money is used in many different ways, such as additional learning facilities, enhancing the school's work or play environment and providing items for extra-curricular activities. Specific projects have been raising money for the refurbishment of the enlarged music block, and the art block, items of sports equipment and for 10 Tors and Duke of Edinburgh as well as helping to provide a school mini van. We are sure you will agree that these are all very worthwhile projects.
The PA's activities are co-ordinated through a committee meeting (which includes the headteacher), usually once a term to discuss fund-raising activities and how the money should be spent. All parents and guardians are warmly welcome to attend these informal meetings which provide a forum to gain information about the school, express your views and, of course, to meet other parents.
Full details are available on how the Duke of Edinburgh scheme works and how you can help are available on the main school website following this link. Duke Of Edinburgh Award Pages
PA Meetings
We usually have one meeting a term to discuss and decide upon fund raising activities and how the money raised should be spent. PA meetings are friendly and informal; they offer an excellent opportunity for parents to meet each other outside school hours and to participate in decisions that will affect the development of the school. The headteacher kindly attends our meetings and provides an informative talk.

All Parents are warmly welcomed to attend any meeting.
Membership
Every student's parent or guardian is automatically a member of the Parents' Association and as such is invited to: all our meetings & to help and support the work we do.
The PA is run for the benefit of all parents, carers and students of Colyton Grammar School. It is inclusive and we want all parents and carers to feel they can make a contribution to the work of this charity in whatever way they can.
We'd love to hear from you!
